Business intelligence is about transforming data into information and then into insight. Using real-world cases, you will assume the role of an analytical professional to solve two data-intensive business challenges at this workshop.
You will be led through the stages of solving a data-driven business problem: learning the issue; analyzing the situation; applying analytical techniques to develop practical insights; choosing plans of action and implementation; building a model and communicating the findings. The workshop is lecture driven, with a combination of instructor-led discussion and class participation. Basic to intermediate features of Microsoft Excel used for data and statistical analysis will be explained. The instructor will also touch on key Microsoft Excel functions and tools used for data analysis.
